Toyosu Market Sushi Breakfast
Start early in the Toyosu Market area for a sushi breakfast. Sushi Dai and Daiwa Sushi are the best-known counters. Sushi Dai hands out numbered tickets that are usually gone within the first hour, and Daiwa usually has the shorter wait. Opening times and queue rules change, so we check them before your day. The market sprawls over several buildings, and your guide knows the way.

TeamLab Planets Self-Guided Visit
Enter Planets in one of the first slots, which start at 8am. Early slots aren't as quiet as they were, since everyone books them now. Then 2-3 hours on your own, barefoot through knee-high water and the flower garden. Planets now also has Athletics Forest and Catching and Collecting Forest, so allow the full 3 hours if you want to see those.

Toyosu Waterfront & Optional Onsen
After Planets, try Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai, an Edo-style street of restaurants next to the market, or LaLaport Toyosu, a large mall with KidZania for families. Manyo Club has a foot bath garden on the 8th floor as well as the full onsen. Then lunch by the water at your pace.

21_21 Design Sight & Art Museums
Start at 21_21 Design Sight, a Tadao Ando building where admission depends on the exhibition, or the National Art Center, which is free to walk through (its exhibitions are ticketed). The Mori Art Museum, on the 52nd-53rd floors of Roppongi Hills, is closed from September 24 to October 30, 2026 and reopens October 31. Buy paper tickets and keep the stubs.
- Ask at each counter whether a stub from the last museum gets a discount
- Mori Art Museum is normally open until 10pm (5pm on Tuesdays); 21_21 closes Tuesdays
- This day is about architecture, contemporary art and city views
TeamLab Borderless Self-Guided Visit
Take an afternoon Borderless slot so you're out before sunset. Ticket prices change by date and time slot, so check the calendar when you book. Then 2-3 hours on your own. Wheelchairs are allowed, but some works can't be experienced from one and wheelchair numbers are limited; strollers aren't allowed. EN TEA HOUSE is inside, and Azabudai Hills has Japan's tallest building.
- Your guide can't lead you through; it's self-guided by design, with nothing to interpret
- Borderless is usually open 8:30am to 9pm, so evening slots end after dark
- White or plain clothes photograph best against the projections
Tokyo Tower Sunset & Zojoji Temple
Tokyo Tower is about 15 minutes on foot from Borderless through Shiba Park. Zojoji Temple's grounds give the classic shot of the tower behind the temple. Your guide times your Borderless exit so you arrive 60-90 minutes before golden hour to find a spot.
